it's wedding season!

On June 12, 2010 I will shoot my very first wedding! I am so excited! The couple is Suzanne and Thomas. They are getting married at a church in Shady Dale and the reception is going to be in a pecan orchard near the church. It is a beautiful place! I took their engagement pictures this past weekend at the pecan orchard. I am super excited to get to shoot this wedding for many reasons. Mostly because no one has given me the chance to shoot their wedding. I understand how people can be nervous letting a first timer shoot their wedding. But, I have all confidence that I will do an awesome job. Next weekend I have two photo shoots to do! I am so excited that my business is growing. I still love every minute of it.
On another note, it has been a while since I have updated everyone on what is going on. Since Georgia's whole 'budget cuts' have arisen, I have transfered schools. I was doing the photography program at Georgia Southern, but the school has cut so much in the art program there. Teachers are being let go, and program classes are being cut. So I figured it would be a smart idea to go to school for something more practical. So, I am going to try and get into a nursing school. I am still going to do photography on the side. I am not going to quit my passion.
Well, here are some of the engagement pictures from this past weekend!

december 2

I have been super busy this past month or so! School has been overwhelming me since finals are coming up soon! I have done several photo shoots though, and I have had so much fun! I did a photoshoot for the store Runway, which is in Statesboro. We had alot of fun with that one! I have taken one family's pictures in Savannah, a girl named Taylor in Madison and of course I have been taking many of my two wonderful nieces. I use my two nieces as my guinea pigs, I always like to try poses out with them. I am sure they will grow tired of this pretty soon, I think Lily is already sick of it. But, I always get such beautiful pictures out of them! Well I just wanted to do a little update. I will be going back home to Madison over the holidays, and I have several people wanting pictures done! Well bon voyage!

a new chapter in my life.

I have always had the love of photography in my heart. The first time I held a camera, I knew I was in love. Now that I am turning my love into a career, I have never been so excited. I have been doing photo shoots of family and friends to try and start up my website. Now that I have enough pictures, I finally made my website. I have been posting pictures on facebook in the past months, and I have gotten a lot of positive feedback. I already have people asking me to take their portraits. I am so excited about how quickly this is all starting up! I plan on continuing to pursue my dream. I am in school right now and majoring in art. So hopefully taking art and photography classes will increase my love and skill. Well I will keep you updated on my upcoming photo shoots!
